Three dogs and some music

My people hosted a house concert tonight with Jenny Bird, Michael Mandrell and special guest Dana Lightsey. Everybody was nice to me, and several people gave me treats. Here's me with small parts of my sister dogs Rosie (in front) and Ruth Ann (behind) along with Michael and Dana.

My other family

Woof! I've added another link over on the right-paw side to Quattro Zampe Kennels, because that's where my mom lives and she has a new web site. So go check it out and see some photos of my blood relatives, including my mama Mas. Woof! Hi mom! Woof!

Puppies at Greeley Day 2

Meet Gunnison, a charming new Spinone puppy from Denver. That's him with me at a mini Spinone party in my back yard. Winston also came to hang out and play after the show this morning. I also met two other new Spinones down at the ring named Joyce and Regina.

Huh? What's that? OK, Lady. While I don't normally let my people tell me what to say on my blog (since it is my blog, afterall, and not theirs), My Lady wants me say something:

She wants me "to give a howl out to all the great spinone yoda's who've helped her learn how to go to dog shows to show me, and made it so much fun that we kept trying." So thanks from her.

Oh, and the funniest thing today? Winston's handler was late coming to the ring -- OK, that part isn't funny, but this is: My Guy had to show Winston, in his shorts and sandals and t-shirt (well, Winston wasn't wearing the shorts, My Guy was). No long pants, not even a tie! Not even a suit coat! The only thing he had going for him was the sensible shoes. And then we had to stand next to each other in the ring, and I went over to say 'hey' to My Guy, and he told me to turn around since we weren't on the same team at the moment, since he was trying to help Winston win. Man, that guy's competitive. You won't know it to look at him, but geez.... Oh, at the show, I won best of opposite sex, which is totally awesome even though I don't know what it means.

Now I'm tired from all the visitors and action, so I shall sleep.

Being with dogs that aren't spinoni

So here's a picture of me and a bunch of dogs and people who aren't spinoni. Do you know what that means? It means all that excitement earlier today really was about me getting to go back and actually be a sporting dog in the group ring for the first time ever. Cool, huh? It was fun. I had a good time standing next to dogs with long tails, and fringe and pointy faces. My people are pretty happy. And now I'm really tired and will sleep the night away. G'night.

Finished?

That's me in the hot, hot ring this morning. And now my people say I'm finished. But if I'm finished, why do I have to go back down for the sporting group ring later?

Maybe it's because everyone was all very happy and hugging my lady after I won best of breed this morning. (Yeah, it's true. Can you believe it?!?) That could be it, but I'm not sure. I was happy to just lie in the shade and hang out with the new puppies Madge and Gelato. Winston was there as well, it's always good to see him. And maybe best of all, Mrs. Carver came to see me!
Oh, and here's another photo of me from today:

Showtime again

It's time for my hometown show. Come see me tomorrow, Saturday (Ring 18 at 9:10 a.m.) or Sunday (Ring 13, a bit after 8 a.m.) under the trees at Island Grove park in Greeley.

My people say we're looking for my last major, but if we're going to see someone important, I hope they hold out for a general or a senator, something other than a middling major or captain.

I'll try to post pictures later.

My people are home!

My people left me and my fake sister dogs Rosie and Ruth Ann with a housesitter for a week. Can you believe it? The house sitter was nice and all, but still. Now my people are home again and I'm a happy wagging guy again.

And since I'm getting a bath, that must mean there's another dog show coming soon.
