Another empty paw

Another day, another show, another empty paw. No ribbons for me. Oh well, I had fun because Baba came to watch me and clapped for me. I got to spend last night at Amigo's and Patches' house, and after the show I picked up the girl from my house who was visiting a friend and we went back to Amigo's where we had a big romp.

Now I sleep. And twitch to happy, tail-wagging dreams. Of Aggie.

Plum Creek - Sunday

Mr. Winston won today. He looked good, as did some of my other friends, Vinny and Gunny. I looked good too, I'll admit, but oh well. Then my people made me walk around for a long time afterward looking at stuff and having some tests to my eyes and, uh, uhm, well, it's embarassing. But I really liked meeting Miss Aggie from Idaho!

In which I get my ear scratched

I know, I know. I'm supposed to be paying attention to charm the judge. But there were 10 spinoni in the best-of-breed ring today, so I was just enjoying an ear scritch while the other dogs had their turns.

Plum Creek - Friday

Day 1 in Denver. I've never seen so many spinoni, like 23 or 24 of them, and my old buddies were there, Vinny, Winston. Good to see them again. I saw Gunny again, he's grown up. Met Izzie, who had a good day for her first in the ring. Also met Fonzie. There were 9 spinone in the best of breed ring, including me. No ribbons for me, but I had fun. Here I am running around the ring.

And the winner is...

I like the beagle, but the judge is walking... signing... carrying the ribbon... and the winner is:

"Superb, beautiful line-up" -- it's the Beagle!

I called it! Standing O!

See you in Denver!

We have a winner

Your Westminster spinone winner this afternoon: Ch Ercole Del Caos JH. On to group!

Westminster Dog Show

It's Westminster Dog Show time. They had four groups last night, and tonight it's my group, the Sporting Dogs. Wooo-hoooo! Looks like maybe my kennelmate Stella is there from Iowa with Teri. Twenty-six spinoni will take to the ring at 3:45 this afternoon. Results tonight.

National Championships

My Colorado friend Winston qualified and we think he went to the Eukanuba AKC National Championships, which was on TV tonight (and repeated again over the next few days). And I think another dog I know, Lizzie, was there too. I didn't see Winston or Lizzie on the tube -- I was watching for them -- but I did see one of my cousins.

Stella was named best of breed in the Spinone Italiano in Long Beach tonight, who like me is a Quattro Zampe spinone from Iowa. She lives with my breeder. I'm sure she's a cousin of mine! See her picture!
