Patches

Had to get back in the car today, but only for a short trip to Patches' house, and there I met my new sisters Ruth Ann and Rosie. They are both big black dogs. Ruth Ann is all pointy and she talks a lot. Rosie is kind of weird looking and just a little bit frightening. Patches loves to chase things like balls and frisbees and I like to too! Then we drove back to my new house in Greeley with Ruth Ann and Rosie and my new family. I like my new family.

Nebraska!

We drove a very long way today. All the way across half of Iowa and then all of big flat boring Nebraska and then half of Colorado. Woof! We got to stop a lot at things called rest areas next to the big highways, and there were all kinds of cool smells to be smelled at each stop. Other dogs, of course, but birds and squirrels and skunks and raccoons and mice and foxes and so on. Lots of other dogs. At the stops Connor and Reade take me on a short run. I have pretty short legs, and I'm only like 10 weeks old, so I couldn’t go very far or very fast. Mostly, I rode in a green crate in the back of the car and I chewed up plastic water bottles, which are like totally my favorite toy right now.

On the road

So those people showed up again, Kristen and Eric, and they brought two kids with them, Connor and Reade! Best of all, they took me away! I was very sad at first, but it was neat to ride in a car. We drove all the way to the big city of Des Moines! That's like three hours away from my old home. Whew!

We stayed in a hotel on the north side of town. I met a friend who looked just like me in a mirror. I think I did pretty good about sleeping in a strange place, but I was up quite a bit too.

Home alone

I'm the last one here at home, although there's a new batch of puppies living here now, too. They're my cousins, more or less. They're pretty wild, but I'm bigger then all of them, so it's pretty fun. I do like to play!
