Chewing and walking
I like to get a mouth full of food and then walk around the couch chewing and munching on it. Then, when my beard is nice and gooey and wet, I go request that my people pet me. I don't know why. I just do.

on the edge of the bed staring at the woman first thing in the morning.
Very effective.
If that doesn't work, Sophie, she's so pushy, tries the warm nose snort , then the nose nudge, and finally the double paw stealth ponce.
That's pretty cool actually, her shoulders never move but suddenly her front paws are on the bed!
When I try that I find my self fully on the bed being sent from the room.
